In a bold move towards sustainability, global agency MARCO has partnered with DoGood People. The goal of the collaboration is to promote a collective effort in favor of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles by empowering all employees through the innovative DoGood People app. MARCO is the first communications company to make the DoGood People tool available to its more than 150 team members worldwide.
This partnership marks another step in MARCO’s journey to integrate sustainability into all aspects of its operations. By leveraging the DoGood People platform, MARCO aims to educate and engage its team in the importance of ESG concepts. Key objectives include training employees on ESG principles, promoting transparency and ethical communication, and encouraging active participation through surveys that will help shape MARCO’s long-term sustainability strategy.
Through the app’s various challenges, all employees will be able to turn sustainable actions into daily habits, measure their positive impact, stay informed on a wide range of sustainability topics, and connect with the MARCO community to share achievements and learn together. In addition, employees will earn points for their sustainable actions, climbing the app’s leaderboard and unlocking exciting rewards and prizes.
Didier Lagae, Executive Chairman and Founder of MARCO, who has taken steps in the sustainable direction as a Climate Leader for Al Gore’s The Climate Reality Project, shared his vision for the future: “Together, we want to build a better future as a team. Sustainability is not just a goal; it is a collective effort that requires each and every one of us to make meaningful contributions.”
In this initial phase, the focus will be on introducing fundamental ESG concepts, laying the groundwork for a more sustainable future. As the ESG strategy evolves, in the second phase, employees will take a more active role in MARCO’s sustainability initiatives, with the DoGood People app playing a key role in both tracking and enhancing employee engagement.
With this new initiative, MARCO joins a growing list of organizations seeking to address the challenges of climate change and sustainability, ensuring that every employee has the tools and motivation to contribute to the company’s ESG goals.
