MARCO, the agency specialized in brand building and reputation management, has announced the appointment of Manex Rekarte Cowie as Senior Creative Strategist. This marks Manex’s return to the consultancy, where he previously held the same role between 2017 and 2019, bringing with him a strong strategic vision and a deeply cultural approach to brand and institutional communication campaigns.
In his new role, Manex will adopt a flexible approach, contributing to projects in the public affairs and consumer areas, providing senior support in both strategy and creativity. His cross-cutting profile and international outlook will also play a key role in business development for the agency.
With over 15 years of international experience, Manex has led high-impact campaigns for global brands such as Heineken, L’Oréal, and Bosch-SIEMENS, as well as for European institutions like the European Commission, EFSA, and the European Investment Bank. His career blends creativity, strategy, and audiovisual production to generate narratives capable of transforming perceptions and mobilizing audiences on both local and pan-European levels.
“Over the years I’ve learned that strategy and creativity are not just complementary—they are inseparable when it comes to connecting brands and institutions with people in an authentic and transformative way. In this new stage at MARCO, my goal is to shape campaigns that not only follow trends and embrace technological innovation but also create real, memorable, and lasting connections. Only through strategic intelligence and captivating creativity can we turn our clients’ objectives into stories that leave a mark,” comments Manex.
Before rejoining MARCO, Manex worked as a creative consultant and strategist for European agencies and public institutions, leading multilingual and multicultural initiatives addressing political, social, and environmental challenges. He also teaches at IE University, where he lectures in the Bachelor of Communication and Digital Media program.
