MARCO de Comunicación, the best valued and most awarded PR agency, has opened an office in Mexico City, the first in a list of upcoming openings and acquisitions in Latin America, in addition to the existing office in Miami (United States).
After two years of presence in Mexico through the consultant Raúl Valencia, working with the brands ABA English, Udemy and Kaiserwetter, the MARCO Group has decided on the need to open its own office, both to serve MARCO’s current customers and to develop its portfolio of Mexican customers and their countries of influence. MARCO Mexico’s new office is located in Lomas de Chapultepec, one of the most exclusive areas of Mexico City and an important business district.
“After our international successes based on our presence in Europe and Africa, we want to help our clients to develop their operations in Latin America, in the same way that we want to offer the Mexican market the possibility of reaching its stakeholders in Mexico and the rest of the world thanks to our global presence both directly, with 8 offices of our own and indirectly, with more than 60 affiliate offices through MSL GROUP,” says Didier Lagae, CEO of MARCO de Comunicación.
MARCO Mexico will be led by Raúl Valencia and Itzamara Sobrino, one of the most well-known digital marketing consultants in the country. The two partners are participating in local operations and have been incorporated into the Latin American structure of the MARCO Group, which has had an office in Miami for 10 years and affiliated partners throughout the continent.
Raúl Valencia and Itzamara Sobrino will act as country managers in MARCO Mexico. Raúl Valencia holds a degree in Communications from the Intercontinental University (UIC) and a diploma in Strategic Communications from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM). Raúl has more than 13 years of experience in communications and corporate positioning strategies in the technology, telecommunications, energy and steel industries, as well as in the public sector and the high-impact entrepreneurial environment (Endeavor Mexico), and as an associate in the consulting firm Burson-Marsteller (currently Burson Cohn & Wolfe).
Itzamara Sobrino has a degree in Communications from Anahuac University and has specialised studies in Marketing, Public Relations and Crisis Management from the ITESM and a master’s in Digital Business from ISDI. She has more than 18 years’ experience in brand positioning, development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, communications, media relations, institutional alliances and reputation and CSR programmes. Itzamara collaborated for 13 years with the consulting firm Everis with presence in the sectors of telecommunications, technology, financial institutions, industry, health, as well as for the Everis Foundation and the Entrepreneurship Award. Previously, she worked at Intel Corporation and DuPont.
“With the official opening of the office in Mexico we want to accompany Mexican organisations in the current environment of digital transformation, which is a very ambitious challenge. From MARCO Mexico we will offer them a holistic vision of communication as a fundamental element for the development of brands and the consolidation of their reputation. Our global value proposition is relevant due to the synergies of our methodology, practices and the professional trajectory of our team in Mexico and in the rest of the offices”, said Raúl Valencia and Itzamara Sobrino, country managers of MARCO Mexico.
