MARCO, the independent global communications consultancy, continues to grow, adding 17 new hires in the first half of 2021. This increase in recruitment is part of the agency’s continuous development and a constant growth process following the opening of an office in Brussels and the imminent opening of offices in Berlin and Milan. MARCO now has more than 150 consultants in 12 offices on 4 continents.
The ability to adapt to the new post-COVID reality has been reinforced by a remarkable success rate in the new business area, with 12 new clients in 2021. In response to this growth, and to the demand for new talent in key international markets, MARCO has committed to hiring multilingual Senior Consultants for both its Brand and Reputation departments. The new recruits include Emmanuelle Jacquety joining the French and Maghreb markets, she has more than 15 years of experience and comes from InLevo, where she has spent the last 8 years as Communications Consultant; Keith Begg, founder of Media Watchdogs of Sweden (NGO), who has more than 20 years of experience and will cover the global market; Mercedes Schlossmann, who joins as Media Relations to strengthen the presence of the consultancy in the German market, after spending her last 4 years at WTC as Brand Consultant. In addition to these new hires, Diane Vey, previously head of the Mayor’s Office of the 18th district of Paris, has recently joined as Senior Consultant for the EU Public Affairs work of the company. In addition to these new recruits, the team has expanded with the hiring of new Consultants such as Eleftheria Koukkou, who joined to be a correspondent to the growing demand for EU Public Affairs services; Alanna Irving, as a support specialist for Communications, Digital and Content Production at Union for the Mediterranean; Alberto Sánchez and Morganna Anjos, for the global market. These hirings reaffirm MARCO’s unique expertise in managing the communication and positioning of clients and public bodies within the European Union.
On the other hand, and in response to the increase in digital communication services and new formats during the last year, MARCO hired Ignacio Oregui and Alberto Díez, to provide support in Digital and Video services, as Consultant and Video Editor respectively. These hires will help the consulting firm to strengthen its work in online marketing, social media and content, consolidating MARCO’s leadership at the forefront of new formats, especially video storytelling.
Recently, new consultants have also joined the agency to bolster the Brand and Reputation team in the Spanish market. In this sense, MARCO has reinforced its Brand Building department with the strategic profiles of Andrea Caicoya and Alejandra Santos as senior consultants. Andrea has spent the last 5 years of her career as Director of Communication, Marketing and Sponsorship of the Royal Spanish Gymnastics Federation. Alejandra has remarkable experience in the communication agencies sector, working as an Account Director at True PR before starting her new career at MARCO. Celia Zamora and Danney Guzmán joined the Reputation Building department as Senior Consultant and Junior Consultant respectively. The Finance team has also grown, welcoming Beatriz Muñiz as an accountant. In addition, other MARCO teams across the organisation have been joined by Emilia Ardetti who has come on board as a designer for the Creativity team, and Clara López, who has been added to the Events production team.
